Thank you for your writing 🌷 Earnest q: how did you manage to find / get yourself in a safe relationship, despite the ways you felt disembodied/disconnected? (Personally wondering how healthier relationships establish, when we are all works in progress!)
I like how you ended your text with "writing as a way of feeling". I viewed writing as a way of thinking: like a translation of my mind unto paper. But maybe writing has even more to do with emotions than the wordy thoughts.
Thank you so much Ava, for writing this piece. I can relate to the experience of always having had big feelings and pushing them away, out of fear or survival. That different path you describe: feeling feelings all the way through, is one that I have only just started walking and reading your words gives me reassurance and hope that it may be the right track…thank you.
Writing that feels like coming home. 🩷
