Hello!

We are doing our fourth batch of matchmaking! This time, we’ll give you the option to reuse your form from last round. This is only for people who’ve participated in the last batch, which occurred in January. If that’s you, please click here.

If you participated in the first/second batch or have never participated before, please fill out this form.

For romantic matchmaking: please make sure you accurately fill out your gender/the gender of person you want to be matched to.

Based on feedback I got about the last batch, we added a question about your favorite Bookbear Express post. (You guys really dislike it when non-readers participate in the matchmaking, which makes sense because the whole idea is intra-community matching.) We’ll also be encouraging people to do a 10-minute Facetime when they first connect.

I understand that some people were ghosted by their matches, which is of course very frustrating. I would encourage people not to participate unless you’re willing to at least call your match for 10 minutes. It really erodes trust!! On the bright side, every batch seems to be creating couples. First Bookbear Express wedding when?

Exciting news: I will be doing matchmaking for another Substack writer soon (more details incoming!!). I really believe in intra-community matching and evidently you guys like it too. I think that every Substack should basically be doing this for their subscriber community and I would like to help make that happen.

I am working with some friends to make a website for this project. I am trying to think of a name that is a little catchier than “Bookbear Express Matchmaking.” The current working name is Commitment Corp. Let me know in the comments if you guys have any suggestions :)
