Yeah i’ve been fighting an internal battle on this, thanks for putting so eloquently into words. My family are based half a world away from me and i am constantly feeling fomo / guilty about missing milestones, watching my niece and nephew grow up from afar. And yet for my own career and self i know i belong here in london too. It’s tough

I love it when a gift keeps on giving (or is reproduced in a fruitful way). I have a dear friend who is struggling with the loss of a parent and experiencing resentment over some obligations related to family members, and I had shared some thoughtful advice yesterday. This was the perfect compliment to that advice, and she was profoundly grateful!
